Message from RWM
Brethren, can I start by thanking all those who came along to support Lodge Gleniffer at our Annual Installation on 10th Oct 2009.
Can I also thank the many visitors who came from the north of Scotland, and south of the border for taking the time and effort to come along and join with us on this our special day.
All I can say is that when I walked in and saw the many good friends I have made since joining the craft it certainly helped to settle my nerves and I look forward to continuing these friendships.
I am very humbled to be given the honour to lead this very fine Lodge for a second time, and I thank the brethren for that honour.
Let me once again thank and congratulate our IPM Bro William Marshall Jnr., PM’s, office bearers and brethren of the Lodge for their hard work over the last year and I look forward to working with them this year.
On a personal note I would like to thank a couple of brethren who came along, Bro Drew Calderwood from Troon Navigation for his excellent toast to the Lodge, Bro Les Timmons from Keep Lodge for his reply to the visitors, and to Bro Andrew Letham, who I found out on the day was asked to assisted IM Bro Hosie when installing the office bearers.
For the Installing Masters, PM’s and brethren of the Lodge they know how grateful I am for all their support, and I am sure they will give their best for the coming year.
To any brother out there who would like to visit, we meet on the second Tuesday each month, starting at 7.30pm, where you will be made very welcome.
There is a syllabus on the web site which will tell you what degree is being worked, also check out the Provincial web site at www.pglre.org for any meetings in the Province.
And finally to any gentleman who is thinking of joining the craft, let me give you an special invitation to come down and meet with us where I’m sure any of my brethren or I will be happy to talk to you, you can contact me by email, rcamritchie@hotmail.com and I will arrange it.
